The main goal of COMSA’s employment program is to help families and individuals to become self-sufficient and live a dignified life. Finding suitable income-generating employment is a life-saving opportunity for someone who moves to a new community. Often the employment process is a painstakingly difficulty process for newcomers. Fortunately, our organization has the right experience and network in finding proper employment for refugees and immigrant community members. We assist them throughout the employment seeking process, by helping them with completing both online and paper job applications. We provide job readiness training programs to help the job seekers adapt to the employment culture in the United States. We also give cultural education training to prospective employers, explaining to them the culture and traditions of the employees. We also partner with our local school district and area colleges to offer opportunities for continuing education and college enrollment and for both youth and adults.
